The National Retail Federation says Americans will spend more than $11-billion on father's this year -- about $106 each on average. That's up 13-percent from last year, when we spent about $94 on dad.

Some of the biggest ticket items are home improvement and gardening tools and appliances.

The National Retail Federation expects us to spend $1.4-billion at stores like Home Depot and Fresno Ag. Their analysts say shoppers are tired of not being able to spend money because of a bad economy, and they're ready to splurge this year.
