The first shooting happened Friday near Walnut and Cottage in Winton. The Merced County Sheriff's Office says two, 17-year-old boys were shot after someone fired from a car.
On Saturday evening, an 18-year-old man was hit near Green Sands and Station. Witnesses told deputies a similar car pulled up and opened fire on the victim before driving away.
Investigators are now trying to determine if the shootings are connected. The victims in both shootings are expected to survive.
