PARLIER, Calif. (KFSN) -- Fire crews in Parlier managed to get a quick handle on a commercial structure fire. The fire at Academy and Manning avenues started around 6:30 p.m. Monday at an abandoned auto dealership.
Firefighters say reconstruction and add-ons to the building made the fire difficult to fight. The extreme temperatures on Monday played a role in how they fought this fire.
"With 104 degree temperatures and the tremendous amount of overhaul, we had to ask for additional support and crews to assist us in the fire suppression efforts," said Fresno County Fire Capt. Ryan Michaels.
Firefighters contained the fire within a couple hours. A cause of the fire has yet to be determined.
