Man dies after vehicle slams into power pole near Sanger

FRESNO COUNTY, Calif. (KFSN) -- The California Highway Patrol is investigating a fatal accident south of Sanger.

The crash happened around 9:30 p.m. Friday at the intersection of Academy and Central avenues.

Investigators have confirmed a man was killed, and no other vehicles were involved. They say his vehicle hit a power pole, and the lines were active for a while. CHP officers had to wait until that power was shut off before they were able to get to the male victim, who has not been identified.
