This year, the teacher who organized the musical event made it a tribute to all servicemen and women, including many with local ties. "We had so many of our staff members and community members who have somebody serving that she decided she wanted to honor them and really make the patriotism come home to these kids," said Crookham Elementary School Principal Kristie Warner.
One student performing in tonight's program has a father currently serving in Iraq.
