Sports Town on Kern Street

Fresno, CA Kern Street has been transformed into a food and beer garden with entertainment for all ages. The idea behind what the city calls "The Vibe" at Sports Town is to make Downtown Fresno a destination for an entire evening fans can mingle before a short walk down the street to Chukchansi Park.

Before the first pitch, hundreds of baseball fans flocked to downtown fresno for their first beer and a bite to eat.

Once a month the city is hosting "The Vibe" at Sports Town, an upbeat jazzy street fair type event sprinkled with sweet treats, plenty of food and your choice of drinks. A stretch of Kern Street reminds visitors of local sports history, so only fitting, to have local hall of famers kick off the event.

City leaders hope the event will inspire families heading out to a baseball game, to see what else downtown has to offer both before and after the game.
