The money is supposed to make sure the students don't have to pick up too many extra shifts, so they can focus on what's important.
Tamara Dun, Scholarship Recipient: "Maybe to concentrate a little more on our studies or spend an extra day with our families. You know, just to relieve some of the financial stress and help us out."
The Peters Scholarships have existed for six years and they've produced almost 70 registered nurse graduates.
