Police say they recovered a number of weapons, including a loaded handgun and knives, during a search of Giesel's SUV and hotel room.
The ABC7 I-Team has learned that it appears all the weapons were legal to possess and the suspect claims to be a former psychiatric patient suffering from post-traumatic stress disorder after childhood abuse.
Giesel says he doesn't remember making the threats.
