Friday, Mr. Hall issued the following statement:
"In no way did I intend to imply that the ABC30 newsroom has ever conducted research about minorities and crimes. Every member of the ABC30 newsroom has always maintained the highest journalistic standards of fairness and accuracy.
My comments are not a reflection on the newsroom as a whole or on any individual employee of the newsroom or this television station.
Anyone who knows me, knows I don't have a biased bone in my body. I was flustered during the interview process and expressed myself poorly.
I regret my comments and apologize to anyone I have offended."
