27-year old Michael De La Cruz was last seen December 4th, 2009.
His body was found in a canal last week and investigators believe he was murdered.
De La Cruz's family cried and embraced each other during an emotional news conference Tuesday afternoon.
The man leaves behind a two-and -a-half year old child.
His father said his son was going through a tough time.
"Whoever may be involved in this they deserve and need to be brought to justice so we are just asking for help," Steven De La Cruz, Victim's Father
"There are 100s of leads that we've already followed up on and we will continue to do so but we don't have a specific person in mind," Kings County Sheriff Chris Jordan said.
