'Bachelor' no more: Jason marries Molly

HOLLYWOOD, Calif.

Season 13 bachelor /*Jason Mesnick*/ married /*Molly Malaney*/ last week. After 14 seasons of the show, it's the first time one of the bachelors has actually married the woman he picked.

Mesnick originally picked /*Melissa Rycroft*/ at the conclusion of the season, but in a surprising twist broke up with her and went back to the runner-up, Malaney.

The dramatic turn created a stir among fans, though many say Jason and Molly seem meant to be.

"Jason and Molly were a really interesting couple, because when he actually denied Molly she looked at him and said, 'You're making a mistake,'" said Jennie Horn, a 'Bachelor' fan. "And you could tell she really believed it. So I wasn't surprised when he decided to go back to her, because you could tell from the beginning that they just had a connection."

Rycroft rebounded quickly, competing in "Dancing With the Stars." She was married in Mexico last December.

Though this is the first bachelor to marry, it's the second wedding for 'The Bachelor' family. Trista Rehn, star of the spin-off "The Bachelorette," married Ryan Suter several years ago.
