Herndon and Golden State in northwest Fresno reopened Saturday allowing driver's easier access to Highway 99 once again.
For the last three weeks a road widening project forced drivers to take a detour, delaying commutes by about 15 minutes.
Another construction project on Herndon Avenue is set to begin Monday in northeast Fresno.
Herndon between Willow and Cedar will be closed beginning Monday.
North-south traffic will still be able to cross Herndon but drivers heading east to west will have to take Bullard or Alluvial instead.
