2 separate shootings across Fresno leaves 1 dead, 1 injured

The male victim was taken to Community Regional Medical Center with serious injuries. Police have a suspect in custody and say the shooting happened after an altercation between the two men.

Less than an hour later, reports of another shooting in east central Fresno at Washington Avenue near Chestnut Avenue. When police arrived on the scene, they found a male gunshot victim in his 20's. The man was taken to Community Regional Medical Center, where he later died.
