Family and friends of murder victim hold carwash

FRESNO, Calif.

18-year-old Justin Hesketh and 16-year-old Brandon Moore were shot to death in Northwest Fresno.

Monday morning, friends and loved ones soaped up cars and collected donations to help cover burial costs.

Brandon's father said the murder has shattered his holiday season and forever left a void.

"The funeral home allowed me to spend a couple of hours with my son on Christmas Eve. Christmas Day I spent in the parking lot of the funeral home because I wanted to be with my son. I didn't want him to be alone on Christmas," Kenneth Moore said.

Tensions and emotions flared in court when the suspects made their first court appearance.

Action News captured the scene that unfolded after some of the suspects family violated court rules by talking to the suspects.

Brandon's uncle made an aggressive move and bailiffs had to detain him.

18-year-old Jarrad Beard and his 15-year-old brother Jerry are being held for the crimes.

We're revealing the 15-year-old's name because he's being tried as an adult.
