Tulare Co student art on display

FRESNO, Calif.

The artwork was handpicked by administrators as the best in the county.

The student work is on display starting today at the tulare county office of education building on Burrel Avenue in Visalia.

The nearly 150 paintings, drawings, photographs and even sock puppets were chosen as the "best of show" from two prior exhibits.

The artists are all students from kindergarten through high school in Tulare County.

"Our superintendent is a big supporter of visual arts and he believes it's very important that even these economic times or school budget times that we continue to promote the visual arts," Rob Herman of the Tulare County Office of Education said.

The artwork will be on display through March 30.
