Chocolate milk from a Lemoore dairy is being recalled

FRESNO, Calif.

Cream Top Chocolate Milk was the subject of a recall and quarantine order. The product was sold at farmers markets in Clovis and San Luis Obispo.

The milk is made by Dairy Goddess, a dairy producer in Lemoore. The state says the chocolate milk was not sufficiently pasteurized before it was shipped to stores. That could allow dangerous pathogens to survive in the milk. No illnesses have been reported, and the producer is cooperating with the recall.

If you have Cream Top Chocolate Milk in your home, you're strongly urged to throw it away if it has a code date of July 11th 2012.

Since the recall was announced -- the quarantine of the Cream Top Chocolate Milk has since been lifted.
