The California Highway Patrol says it put a dent in the auto theft world today when two gang members were tracked down by a stolen car to a home in Southeast Fresno.

The CHP says at this stage in the investigation appears the stolen car is just one piece of the criminal puzzle.

Investigators say they also found numerous burglary tools, suspected stolen property and drugs. The CHP says the public can play a role in reducing this type of crime.

CHP Sgt. Lenny Sherman said, "So when you get this screaming deal on craigslist or the guy down the street who says 'don't ask where this came from...' you're facilitating your neighbor getting their car stolen. You're facilitating the burglary; you're facilitating the drug addict."

One of the two men arrested was on early release from the jail due to overcrowding.

His probation has been revoked.

Both men arrested face several felony charges.
