Officers found Leonel Ortega, 27, lying near a sidewalk around 9:00 Tuesday night, at the Casa Blancas Apartment Complex at Marks near Clinton.
ABC30 was told Ortega was suffering from stab wounds. He died a short time later at Community Regional Medical Center.
At this point, it's not known what provoked the stabbing. Officers are trying to determine if it was drug related. They're also working to identify a suspect.
