'No More Campaign' starts in Fresno County, in efforts to stop violence

FRESNO, Calif.

The "No More Campaign" has officially started in Fresno County. It aims to end sexual and domestic abuse and support the artistic expression of victims. Organizers say art is a powerful healing tool and creates a safe space to share experiences. This weekend's art show and fundraiser helps the Resource Center for Survivors let victims know they have a place to turn in hard times.

"We want survivors to know, particularly adult survivors of childhood sexual trauma, trauma that happened maybe years and years ago, that we are here, and they are not alone and they should feel safe to ask for help," Executive Director of RCS, Monte Jewell said.

Organizers say they are still looking for partners to host victims' art shows throughout Fresno County.
