Authorities hope belt buckle will help identify a body found in Fresno County

FRESNO, Calif.

Homicide detectives are asking for the public's help in identifying a body found yesterday in a Fresno County eucalyptus grove.

The sheriff's office says a belt buckle was discovered among the remains. The belt is black in color, and a metal buckle that appears to have the letter "D" on it.

Investigators believe the remains belong to a man between the ages of 25 and 40. He stood about five feet six inches tall.

The body was discovered on Wednesday near the intersection of Orange and Clayton. Detectives now believe the remains have been at that location for three months to a year.

If you have any information on who this man might be, you are asked to call the Fresno County Sheriff's Office.
