Nearly 20 years after he played with the famed Blue Devils Drum and Bugle Corps, Fresno's George Zavala still shines on the trumpet. But lately, he's more focused on a different kind of shine -- on car exteriors.
"I have now come up with the greatest cleaning product that there is. It's super for the glass, makes it pop, doesn't streak, it's tough enough for the engines," said Zavala.
Zavala -- who makes a living detailing cars -- says he invented Miracle Spritz because his visual impairment made it necessary -- for a more effective and eco-friendly cleaning product.
He says just a cup of Miracle Spritz can clean a whole car. He didn't want to divulge the ingredients -- just that it's water-based. But he says the potential for conservation is huge.
"We're gonna wash and rinse at the same time, and wax. I'm leading the way. I'm leading the fleet and water conservation. Washing our cars with a glass of water, it's never been done before," said Zavala.
Freddy Perez at Crazy Horse Hand Car Wash in Clovis says they've already cut back on water use where they can.
"We used to clean out the parking lot, spray it down with water. But now that we have a drought, we don't use as much water here," said Perez.
He agrees every little bit helps. But for some of his dirtiest job, he has yet to see a replacement for good old-fashioned H2O.
"If a car's really dirty we have to spray it down really good, especially if it's really muddy. If we don't rinse the dirt off that good, we'll scratch the car," said Perez.
Zavala says Miracle Spritz is specially formulated to not scratch your car. Click here for more information.
