FRESNO, Calif. (KFSN) -- It was a very tense Thursday afternoon as an armed man wandered through this neighborhood of estate sized homes between Clovis and Fresno firing a shotgun.
After about two hours deputies captured the man after surrounding the neighborhood.
They believe he is homeless and has been living in the wooded area between these large homes.
He apparently found a loaded shotgun left in a driveway.
Nobody was hurt but neighbors were certainly frightened after hearing four shots.
Deputies and police officers carefully watched the suspect before moving in. He was surrendered without incident and did not have the shotgun with him.
The deputies are looking for that gun and are curious to know why it was left outside the house loaded.
The suspect was taken to the Fresno County Jail where he is being questioned. It's not yet clear what charges he will be facing.
The incident shut down traffic on Willow and Chestnut Thursday afternoon, but things are back to normal now.
