FRESNO, Calif. -- After months of hard work, local FFA members will finally put their animals up for sale at the annual livestock auction.
The livestock auction has been going on for decades, and Saturday, students will showcase hundreds of animals hoping for the best price.
During the fair, the students spend nearly two weeks with their animals, but they also educate the public about where their food comes from, how animals are raised and how judging works.
Livestock officials say with Fresno County's rich ag roots, it's important to keep the worlds connected. As for the FFA students, all this work will lead up to the auction day, a day to show and say goodbye.
