HANFORD, Calif. (KFSN) -- South Valley fire crews put out a series of fires on Friday, and one of them burned an old college campus.
The now abandoned College of the Sequoias Hanford Campus caught fire around 7 p.m. Fire crews from Hanford, Kings County and Lemoore rushed to put it out.
A witness says he smelled fuel as a train passed by, and then he spotted a series of flames following the last railcar. Investigators say there were some spot fires along the tracks a few blocks away from this fire.
At this point, investigators are still looking for the official cause of the fires.
