Man hit by train in Central Fresno

A man was crossing the tracks near Dakota and Palm with a shopping cart on Thursday morning when he was hit by a freight train.

The man was taken to Community Regional Medical Center. He was reportedly in pain, but alert.

The train is blocking roads in the area.
