Drunk driver smashes car through front of apartment building in Madera

FRESNO, Calif. (KFSN) -- Madera police arrested a woman for driving drunk and crashing her car into an apartment building on the northeast side of town.

Officers found her red minivan smashed into the front of an apartment where it knocked out the door, a wall and a window.

Police say Candace Escalante was drunk and going too fast when she hopped a curb and crashed into the building.

Nobody in the apartment suffered any injuries.
