Suspected DUI driver admits to texting before Clovis crash

FRESNO, Calif. (KFSN) -- Three people are recovering Saturday morning from a drunk driving crash in Clovis.

The crash happened at McCall and Ashlan Avenues near Wild Water Adventure Park. Officers said the driver broadsided the other vehicle when he failed to brake before a stop sign.

Authorities said the driver admitted to being under the influence and texting during the accident. Both parties were injured and transferred to the hospital.

The driver and victims have not been identified.

Police are still investigating what happened.
