Two dead after driver runs stop sign and crashes in Fresno County, CHP says

FRESNO, Calif. (KFSN) -- Two people died Sunday after a driver failed to stop at an intersection and crashed into another car, according to the California Highway Patrol.

The crash happened near Chestnut and Floral Avenues around 6 p.m. Investigators said the car collided into another a vehicle occupied by five people.

Officers said the two people in the car that failed to stop died, but the occupants of the other car are expected to be okay.

The CHP is investigating the crash.
