Authorities searching for Selma beer thieves

FRESNO, Calif. (KFSN) -- Crooks have struck again at a Selma market that's been robbed multiple times this year by beer crooks.

The latest crime was captured on surveillance cameras on Tuesday and played out just like a couple of other thefts at Lee's Market in Selma.

The shirtless man in sunglasses approaches the cash register carrying two cases of beer then runs out of the store without paying.

Two store employees run out after him.

They chase him down as he tries to jump into the getaway vehicle, and that leads to a brief scuffle.

The crook was knocked into the ground but he managed to get up, climb into the truck, which then speeds off.

Fresno County authorities have identified the man in the video as 19-year-old Cody Mathers.

He's now wanted for robbery.
