Habitat for Humanity to build their 134th house in Fresno
We're breaking out the hard hats and hammers. Construction is underway!

FRESNO, Calif. (KFSN) -- Habitat for Humanity Fresno County has served more than 150 families over the past 30 years. That includes the building of new homes and renovations to others.

You can get involved by donating or volunteering. That doesn't just mean building a house, you can do outreach as well.

Habitat for Humanity says each family is selected through a rigorous family selection process based on need, and the ability to purchase the home through a zero percent interest loan, with their down payment being met by Habitat for Humanity's "Sweat Equity" policy of a minimum of 500 hours service into building their own home.

Habitat for Humanity Fresno County depends on the generosity of volunteers to work side-by-side with the Habitat partner family and Habitat's financial partners make all this possible.

"Framing and Wall Raising" on Saturday, August 20th, Habitat for Humanity Fresno County will be building the frame and will be raising the first few walls on the Yang Vue family home. This home is a three bedroom, two bathroom home, located at 325 N. Effie. The home is funded in partnership by the City of Fresno and Wells Fargo Bank through their Priority Market Grant Program.
