Children's Hospital SMG doctors to stop seeing Sante HMO members

FRESNO, Calif. (KFSN) -- Action News has an update on the changes impacting hundreds of kids who receive care through Children's Hospital Central California.

Many parents recently received a letter from the hospital's Specialty Medical Group." It says, "Beginning January 30, 2015, our doctors will no longer be providers for HMO members assigned to Sante."

This announcement comes after the hospital cut ties with Sante Community Physicians last month.

The letter also says, "The only way to guarantee access to your child's SMG doctor starting January 30, 2015, is to evaluate other health insurance options that may be available to you and your child."
