FRESNO, Calif. (KFSN) -- A jury has found Gustavo Duenas not guilty of first-degree murder but guilty of second-degree in a case of attempted robbery that left two men dead, including his own father.

Duenas is accused of working with Jorge Rodriguez to commit robberies on a December night back in 2014, with text messages to help prove the plan. A prosecutor says Calvin Reese was the target of a robbery.

A jury said Rodriguez was not guilty of first-degree murder on Monday but deadlocked Tuesday on second-degree murder charges.

Rodriguez will be back in court on March 6th for a status hearing.

Sentencing for Duenas is scheduled for March 29th.
