Body found in Northwest Fresno ponding basin

FRESNO, Calif. (KFSN) -- Police are trying to identify a body recovered in a ponding basin in Northwest Fresno.

Investigators were called to the area after receiving a tip in a missing persons case. The Fresno County Sheriff's Office dive team was eventually called-in and discovered the body submerged in water.

There is still no word if the body is connected to the missing person and as of now investigators do not suspect foul play.
