Fresno beer thief fights with K9 and officer, police say

FRESNO, Calif. (KFSN) -- Fresno police say an armed beer thief is in jail after fighting with an officer and a K9. Dustin Perger was treated at the hospital for puncture wounds from the dog and then charged with robbery.

Investigators say he used a steak knife to threaten a clerk at the Riverpark Liquor Store on Nees near Blackstone on Sunday afternoon. The 27-year-old is accused of taking several large beers and threatening to stab the clerk.

Officers later found Perger hiding under a bed inside his apartment. They also recovered the knife and some of the beer.
