Fresno skateboarder injured after being hit by car

FRESNO, Calif. (KFSN) -- A skateboarder is in critical but stable condition after he was hit by a car in Central Fresno. The incident happened around 11 p.m. Sunday at Olive and Millbrook avenues.

Fresno police say the 18-year-old victim was in the crosswalk at the time. The driver who hit him told officers he was distracted by other pedestrians.

On Monday, family members told police the young man who was skateboarding is expected to be OK.

Investigators say the driver is cooperating, and no arrest has been made.
