LIVINGSTON, Calif. (KFSN) -- The city of Livingston is mourning the loss of its planning commissioner. Michael Silva was killed in a motorcycle crash on Friday.

Several local leaders say he was a kind and outgoing man dedicated to serving the community, along with his family. His father is the city clerk, his aunt is the city treasurer, and his brother-in-law is a city council member.

Silva's accident happened on Campbell Boulevard near Hammat Avenue on Friday evening. No other vehicles were involved in the crash, and the cause remains under investigation.
