FRESNO, Calif. (KFSN) -- The owner of a Southeast Fresno business hit by thieves now has his stolen forklift back. The expensive piece of equipment was returned Thursday afternoon.

Employees at Mojica Market say a man showed up to their store around noon and took them to an abandoned home nearby. Detectives determined it was the stolen forklift. It was taken Wednesday morning -- a week after the market was gutted by a suspicious fire. This followed a series of thefts since the fire.

"Of course he's going to get his reward for leading us to where the forklift was. Thank you guys. Because of you guys, we have it back," said Claudia Ibanez, an employee at Mojica Market.

The owner says now that he has his forklift back, he'll be able to continue cleaning out the property and soon begin to rebuild his shop.
