FRESNO, Calif. -- Investigators say two homes were hit by gunfire and several other acts of violence occurred over the weekend.
Police say around 10:30 p.m. on Saturday night a 19-year-old man was assaulted by two other men on Mulberry Lane near Candice Avenue. Police said the victim was believed to be connected with a gang and did not cooperate with police.
About 30 minutes later, Police responded to reports of shots fired on H Street near 3rd Street. Police said they found a home that had at least 12 bullet holes in it. No one was injured in the incident.
Around 3:15 a.m. Sunday, Police responded to a stabbing on Bella Vista Avenue. They said the victim did not cooperate with police and was treated, then released.
Sunday evening, a home on Tuolumne Street near Eva Donna Street was shot at. Police said the home was the residents of the stabbing victim from the night before. People, including a young child, were inside the home at the time of the shooting, but no one was injured.
While police were gathering evidence at the home, a car that matched the description of the suspect's vehicle drove past the crime scene area. Police noticed the car, and a chase began. The suspect's car crashed on Mendocino and Young -- and two people inside fled on foot. Police were not able to apprehend the suspects, but the vehicle was impounded and stored as evidence.
Parlier Police say all of the incident appear to be gang related. Anyone with information on these incidents are asked to call the Parlier Police Department at (559) 646-6600.
