Pickup truck driver killed in crash near Reedley

FRESNO COUNTY, Calif. -- The California Highway Patrol is investigating a deadly accident in Fresno County.

Officers say a pickup truck was driving near Dinuba Avenue and Englehart Avenue east of Reedley around 2 a.m. Friday when the driver drifted off the road and hit a semi-truck's trailer.

The driver of the pickup died at the scene. He has been identified as Dominic Castro, 20, of Dinuba. No other injuries were reported. It is still unclear what caused the crash, but authorities do not believe alcohol was a factor.
