Teens arrested for driving stolen car drunk
The officer smelled alcohol on the 13-year-old driver's breath and say he failed a field sobriety test.

FRESNO, Calif. (KFSN) -- A 13-year-old and his passengers are in custody after authorities say he drove a stolen car while intoxicated.

The Fresno County Sheriff's Office said a deputy was near the northbound Highway 99 off-ramp to Ashlan avenue early Saturday morning when he spotted five people running away from a Honda Accord that had spun out of control.

Deputies caught three of the suspects including the 13-year-old driver and a pair of 17-year-old's. Investigators also smelled alcohol on the driver's breath and say he failed a field sobriety test.

The teens face felony charges relating to the car, which was reported stolen.
