Two arrested in Corcoran on gun, drug, child endangerment charges

FRESNO, Calif. (KFSN) -- Police said after gunshots went off inside a home, they found illegal marijuana plants and five children living inside.

Corcoran Police said they responded to a home on Orange Avenue near Otis Avenue on Monday, October 20th, after reports that shots were fired inside the home. Police said they determined that 29-year-old David Leber had fired a gun inside the home while two adults and five children were present.

Leber ran from the home, but was later found hiding in the backyard. Police said they also found two guns Leber has hidden in the backyard.

While investigating the incident, Police said they found five marijuana plants growing in the back yard. Deanna Ontiveros, 25, who lived at the home, was arrested for cultivating marijuana.

Leber was charged with negligent discharge of a firearm and child endangerment. Ontiveros was charged with cultivation and possession of marijuana, and child endangerment.
