Sam's Italian Deli receives small business honor

FRESNO, Calif. (KFSN) -- A longtime Fresno business is being honored for satisfying the appetites of thousands of customers.

State Assemblyman Henry T. Perea of Fresno honored Nick and Angela Marziliano at the state capitol as part of California Small Business Day.

The Marzilianos own Sam's Italian Deli, which was named Small Business of the Year in Perea's district. Sam's Deli is located at First Street and Clinton Avenue in Central Fresno and has been in business for 34 years.

Perea praised the owners by saying, "Sam's Deli has deep roots in our community. Their commitment to serving the community and expanding their business has been passed down to the next generation."
