Valley Families Hunt For Christmas Trees

FRESNO, Calif. (KFSN) -- The Hillcrest Christmas Tree Farm in Reedley opened to big crowds Saturday.

The farm has grown trees for valley families for the past 55 years. Customers can search the property for their perfect Monterey Pine, and even cut it down themselves, if they choose. Or they can choose from pre-cut Noble and Douglas Firs.

There are also steam train rides and hot meals on the weekends to help complete the experience. "Erica, what type of tree do you want?" A shopper asked her daughter. "I want the big tree," the daughter replied. "The big tree, so I think we're cutting it down. We're gonna try cutting it down today."

Hillcrest Farm is open from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily until Dec. 20.
