FRESNO, Calif. (KFSN) -- Day eight of the Fresno Fair started out as a scorcher but a lot of people still headed out there to enjoy the attractions.
Snoop Dogg gave his fans a show they won't forget. Many people showed up early to grab seats and watch their favorite rapper on stage. "My husband loves Snoop Dogg and I love Snoop Dogg. I got to be as close as I can to be with him," said April Fang.
"This was on my bucket list and after tonight God willing I can cross it off and move onto the next thing," said Lawrence Seymour.
Vernon Wilks drove down from Vallejo to spend time with family at the Fresno Fair. He told us catching this performance was just a nice bonus. "I have never seen him before so that's why I am here," said Wilks.
Right outside the Paul Paul Theater a lot of people like Matthew Byers caught the concert on the big screens for free.
Organizers say any major musician headlining at the Fresno Fair boosts their ticket sales. Anytime there's a strong attendance police and deputies patrol the grounds and parking lots to keep everyone safe.
"We have got people roving around the outside to make sure there is no opportunity for criminal to take advantage of people who may have forgot a purse in the car," said Sgt. Dave Gibeault.
