FRESNO COUNTY, Calif. (KFSN) -- The crash happened before 4:30 a.m. Tuesday morning at the intersection of Bethel and Manning near the city of Selma. The California Highway Patrol says a woman in her 20's was driving a white BMW on Bethel and failed to stop at a stop sign.

"For unknown reasons, the driver of the white BMW failed to stop at the stop sign. Entered the intersection and was broadsided by the Chevrolet. The driver was killed instantly," Mike Trenholm, California Highway Patrol.

The driver of the BMW, Christina Rodriguez of Delano, died at the scene. Investigators say the other driver had a broken ankle.

The CHP says drugs or alcohol do not appear to be a factor in this crash.
