Visalia shooting leaves victim in critical condition

FRESNO, Calif. (KFSN) -- Police said the incident started as a verbal argument before an unknown suspect shot the victim. It happened in a neighborhood near Ben Maddox Way and Douglas Avenue just after 6 p.m. on Friday.

When police arrived at the scene of the shooting, both the victim and the suspect had left already. Police said they later found the victim in a local hospital. The victim was treated for life threatening injuries and is listed in critical but stable condition.

Police are still looking for the suspect.
