Police evacuated a one square block area around the "Bank Of The Sierra" in downtown Dinuba Wednesday afternoon.
The robber claimed he put a bomb in a shoebox, and then got away. A second device left by the robber was also discovered near a house behind the bank.
The area was shut down for three hours before investigators determined it was safe for people to return. "I was scared. Didn't know what to do. I don't know. But yeah, I was scared," said Dinuba resident Alejandra Gonzalez. "It's scary, it's scary ya know? That something could happen right next door. We never expected that to happen," said Dinuba restaurant owner Gabriel Sandoval.
Investigators have not said what was found in the shoeboxes.
