Local Firefighters Head to So Cal

October 11, 2008 12:00:00 AM PDT
Because of the windy conditions, firefighters from Fresno and Kings County are headed to southern California to fight wildfires that haven't even started yet. Fires like the one from earlier this week at Camp Pendleton could spread fast now because the Santa Ana winds have picked up. They're blowing at twenty to forty miles per hour right now.

About 15 Cal Fire firefighters are taking off from Fresno Sunday at the request of Governor Schwarzenegger.
