Merced City Firefighters want you to think pink

FRESNO, Calif.

Sean Tierney, Merced City Fire Dept. said, "For me, it was a real personal cause, my grandmother passed away from breast cancer and it was just a really unique way, especially in the Central Valley to get the message out about breast cancer. It's not just a bunch of firemen wearing pink shirts, it's a real good cause."

The department will sell the shirts for $12 at fundraising events around Merced throughout the month. 100 percent of the proceeds go to breast cancer research.
