Corner Bakery Cafe opens in Visalia, coming soon to Fresno

FRESNO, Calif. (KFSN) -- The Corner Bakery Cafe has opened at the Packwood Creek Shopping Center off Mooney Boulevard in Visalia. This is expected to be the first of many that will be opening soon.

Over the next several years, the franchise owner plans to open nine Corner Bakery Cafes in the Central Valley. The cafe specializes in fresh food like salads and sandwiches.

"All of our food is made to order. We don't buy it pre-made or anything like that. All of our salads are fresh made, all of our produce -- we get 40 produce items a day in the cafe to prepare for salad and sandwiches and things," said Doug Cross, C&L Cafe.

The next Corner Bakery is set to open in Bakersfield next spring. Another one will be coming to Fresno in the next year and a half. 75 People were hired in Visalia to run the business.
